Diabetic shoes are designed and manufactured to the highest standards of foot wellness, especially for people living with diabetes and other health conditions that affect their feet — including swelling, bunions, hammertoes and more.
Based on more than 25 years of footwear design experience and with input from board-certified podiatrists, our selection of shoes are made using only the finest quality materials — so they’re as fashionable as they are comfortable and healthy for your feet. Most styles are available in a full range of sizes and difficult-to-fit widths.
We can also prescribe a pair of custom made shoes to help manage many foot health conditions.
Purchasing Our Shoes
Our shoes aren’t available in traditional shoe stores, but you can talk to one of our qualified podiatrists or shoe fitter to be examined and measured for a pair of diabetic shoes.
The cost of our shoes — and custom inserts — may be covered by Medicare and your supplementary insurance if you have diabetes. Find out if you qualify.
Since 1993, Medicare Part B has provided partial reimbursement for extra-depth shoes and inserts for qualifying patients with diabetes. Medical experts agree that many amputations resulting from diabetes-related foot complications can be prevented by appropriate, properly fitting footwear. The classic craftsmanship and sophisticated style of Diabetic shoes are desirable for anyone in search of the finest quality in a comfort shoe. Designed as a diabetic shoe, we also provide many protective and comfort features for all to love. Prescription diabetic footwear can help prevent more serious foot health complications that can arise as a result of diabetes. Medicare and supplemental insurance may reimburse for all or part of the cost of diabetic shoes and prescription inserts for diabetics who meet certain general criteria. Any of our Podiatrists at Pueblo Ankle and Foot Care can determine if you are eligible.
