Ever since I decided that I was to become a doctor, in elementary school, I had always pictured myself practicing in my hometown of Pueblo. It has been a year already that I have returned home. I have been extremely fortunate that Dr. Marble and Dr. Maurer as well as all of the staff have welcomed me with open arms. Working with the team doesn’t seem like work; everyone gets along well and I look forward to seeing them each day.
More importantly, I enjoy spending time with my patients with which I am able to genuinely connect with. There is no place like home and my patients are part of my home. I can easily relate to their day to day situations and activities because I had missed it for 7 years while I was away for my schooling.
I am blessed to be able to spend time with my parents, sister, grandmother, and niece and nephew. So many of my classmates were not able to return home to practice due to the small field of podiatry. Being able to watch my niece and nephew grow up is priceless.
Although one year has passed since I returned home, I have never been busier and am thankful that you are giving me the opportunity to help get you back on your feet. I know that this is where I belong and am thankful to be back in Pueblo every single day!
